About DMT
Danville Mass Transit (DMT) is a department of the City of Danville, Illinois. DMT operates public transportation services, including Fixed Route Buses, Evening Dial-A-Ride, and Paratransit Services, within the following areas:
- Danville
- Champaign
- Georgetown
- Tilton
- Westville
DMT Leadership and Governance
Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. directs DMT and all other city departments. Day-to-day operations are lead by Lisa Beith, the Director of Public Transportation, and the DMT management team. The Danville Public Works Committee and the Danville City Council govern DMT. DMT is regulated by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration.
Transportation Planning
The Danville Area Transportation Study (DATS) is the Municpal Planning Organization (MPO) overseeing transportation planning in the Danville area. DMT participates with DATS in planning transit services.
