Bus passes are your way to save big bucks. They make it easy to ride as much as you want. 1-Day, 7-Day, and 31-Day passes are available (see details, including some restrictions on bus pass use, at the right). To use your bus pass for the first time, insert it in the ticket-reader on the upper left of the farebox. For subsequent uses, swipe the pass quickly through the reader in the upper right side of the farebox. Smart cards are the fastest way to pay: simply tap it on the target and find your seat. Of course, you can still pay with cash and coins, but why would you when bus passes save you money? Buy a bus pass and start saving today!
The new fareboxes are SPX Genfare Odyssey systems manufactured in Elk Grove, Illinois. DMT awarded a competitive bid to Genfare earlier this year. The project is funded by state and federal grants.
